Does anyone know which presentation NVIDIA mentioned how the Level Of Detail system works in APEX Destruction? I vaguely remember it being something like a score which determines how many objects can be active at once. This would be some pretty nice technical info for this page. Presentation. There are several aspects - chunks are removed when they hit the max budget (based on lifetime and distance from camera) and there are also Separation and Lifetime parameters for debris chunks. And you also can switch between actors with different detalization. I'm planning to fill out most APEX pages (using all the data from APEX SDK, new PhysX plug-ins, UDK integration, etc) in upcoming weeks. --Zogrim 15:27, 24 April 2011 (MSD)
