Darkest of Days PhysX trailer by Nvidia
Browsing through Nvidia website, we’ve found a new official PhysX trailer (not comparison video, released previously) for Darkest of Days title.

It’s located at PhysX technology page, at “Featured Videos” section.
Batman Arkham Asylum: new PhysX screenshots

PCgames.de has revealed 5 new screenshots for Batman Arkham Asylum, showing difference between lowest and highest PhysX settings. Sample effects include smoke, ground fog, leaves and cloth.

PhysX: most popular physics library ?
Ervin Coumans, creator of “Bullet” open-source physics engine, has posted some interesting facts at bulletphysics.com recently. According to article in August 2009 issue of Game Developers Magazine, covering middleware survey results (over 100 senior developers of various development companies surveyed), Physx SDK have the lead with 26.8% in physics libraries rating, next is Havok with 22.7%, third – Bullet at 10.3%, and finally – Open Dynamic Engine at 4.1%.

WeeklyTube Issue 2: PhysX video overview

Better late then never. Being a little busy with latest comparison videos, we’ve moved release of WeeklyTube, our weekly overview of PhysX related videos. Let’s start.
Cryostasis “Improved PhysX” Mods by PS3AuRoN89
PS3AuRoN89 is doing some research, trying to make GPU PhysX effects in Cryostasis even more physical. Current progress – increased life-time of ice particles, improved water circles, and water particles, that never disappears. We’ll keep an eye on this mod, so you can expect complete overview as it comes out.

FallDawn is coop-fighting game (up to 8 players), that is build on Ogre 3D engine and is using PhysX SDK for ingame physics (like ragdolls) via NxOgre wrapper.

GPU PhysX in Darkest of Days: full version
We’ve uploaded new PhysX comparison video for Darkest of Days PC retail. Released only two days ago, this game drags player through different time periods, from Pompei to World War 2. B-quality title, but gives unique apportunity to use futuristic weapons in the past. At least it worth a try.

GPU PhysX in Warmonger
While completing profiles for old PhysX games, we’ve added PhysX video for Warmonger – Operation: Downtown Destruction title. Developed by Net Devil in collaboration with Ageia for original PhysX PPU, Warmonger is mediocre multiplayer-oriented FPS, available for free download at GeForce PowerPack #2.

Note: You can disable GPU PhysX content for this title, so it’s nearly unplayble without nvidia GPU/Ageia PPU.
pXent: PhysX SDK wrapper for 3D Game Studio engine
PhysX SDK wrapper for 3D GameStudio (A7) engine - pXent has entered final development stage and is available for purshase in basic setup (rigid bodies, ragdolls, materials system, complex vehicles).
Price for standart edition is set as 15,00 €, meanwhile demo is available for free.

You can see them at Quick Navigation toolbar.
– New application(s) was added to this section.
– Data for certain entry(s) was updated, for example, game’s status changed from “In dev” to “Released” as title came into the market.
Remember, that you can use Quick Navigation links to browse through PhysX SDK projects table faster.
