While Batman Arkham Asylum PhysX boom is quiting down, videos from Nvidia GPU Technology Conference  are popping up. Most impressive, without doubt, was PhysX SPH Fluid demo which you can find here, but other videos we’ve found are also worth watching

Nvidia GTC: Impressive new physx demo by PCGamesHardware

Another video from GTC keynote. In spite of encouraging title, it seems that shown effects are based on standart offline animation plug-ins like Fume FX or Realflow, but probably some realtime PhysX simulation is included as well.

Better late then never. Being a little busy with latest comparison videos, we’ve moved release of WeeklyTube, our weekly overview of PhysX related videos. Let’s start.

Cryostasis “Improved PhysX” Mods by PS3AuRoN89

PS3AuRoN89 is doing some research, trying to make GPU PhysX effects in Cryostasis even more physical. Current progress – increased life-time of ice particles, improved water circles, and water particles, that never disappears. We’ll keep an eye on this mod,  so you can expect complete overview as it comes out.

FallDawn is coop-fighting game (up to 8 players), that is build on Ogre 3D engine and is using PhysX SDK for ingame physics (like ragdolls) via NxOgre wrapper.

We gonna try to launch something new today – weekly (every wednesday) overview of most interesting and informative PhysX related videos, which we’ve picked out from  YouTube, Vimeo, and others free video hosting services – called WeeklyTube.

This week YouTube is fully packed with copies of Batman: Arkham Asylum PhysX trailer – you can see it in a post below. Let’s find out what passed unnoticed.

Cloth + Tearing by Mike20151

Interesting video, showing tearable cloth physics inside PhysX SDK. This scene is not included with standart SDK package, but custom made.

Joint Task Force PhysX Trailer 1/2 by Sonnensurfer

Echo from the past. Originally, PhysX SDK based RTS title Joint Task Force was supposed to support Ageia PPU hardware acceleration, but in fact only this trailer remain as result.
