JX3: PhysX and CUDA benchmark
New benchmark for chinese MMORPG JX3 (Jianxia 3 – we’ve wrote about GPU PhysX support previously) has emerged silently on Nvidia website. As far as we know, it was firstly shown at recent NGF 2010 event.

Benchmark includes two sequences – first one, Lighting & PhysX benchmark.
Scene starts with lighting capabilities demonstration – dynamic shadows, god rays, day & night cycle..
.. and is followed by fighting scene, echanced with several PhysX effects..
..like cloth banners, clothing simulation, and particles affected by characters movement.
Looking nice, but nothing particularly impressing, and those “lighting” part prevents GPU PhysX performance from being measured properly.
Second part of the benchmark is called CUDA Accelerated Animation.
Large group of characters, dancing (or something) in front of the camera, is spawned. Enabling “CUDA Hardware Acceleration” option boosts fps by 2x times.
Sum: just another way to test your GPU PhysX or Hybrid PhysX setup.
You can download JX3 PhysX & CUDA benchmark here (351 mb)
Thanks to Stefan for the link.

downloading .. pls whats your results ?

ok …
resolution – 1280×1024
MSAA – OFF
Realtime shadow – VERY HIGH
Post Effect – ON
enable PhysX and CUDA HW acceleration
Loop play – OFF
PhysX & Lighting Bench
MIN FPS – 5 (i think BUG)
MAX FPS – 94
AVG FPS – 65
CUDA Accelerated Animation
MIN FPS – 20
MAX FPS – 24
AVG FPS – 21
btw. CUDA accelerated is so LONGGG omg …

^same settings in physx bench w/ 8800gt@695mhz min fps
was 12fps but only because of fps drops during scene changes. during benchmark itself it didn’t really fall below 30fps.

I use HD5770 with GTS250 as Physx and the driver is 196.34 with GenL 1.02 patched. But I can’t enable H/W Physx & CUDA in this benchmark and also my GPU-Z.0.4.0 report my GTS250 not has CUDA. What’s happen to me?
p.s.Sorry for my english.

Hi,
I used my NVIDEA GeForce 8600 GT + ATI Radeon HD 4890:
http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/static.panoramio.com/photos/original/42541160.jpg
I can give you these two guids, how to install a NVIDEA Card + ATI Card:
German:
http://extreme.pcgameshardware.de/grafikkarten/76699-mit-ati-und-nvidia-zusammen-physx-nutzen-anleitung.html
(I used this one)
French:
http://www.octeam.fr/dossiers-et-tutos/hardware/physx-patch-mod-amd-ati-ca-marche–200910071414.html
(This one doesn’t worked)
My results with this benchmark (and my old Nvidea Card):
- CPU: AMD Phenom X4 955 (4×3,2GHz)
- ATI Radeon HD 4890
- 4 GB RAM – DDR 3
- Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Resolution – 1680 x 1050
MSAA – OFF
Realtime Shadow – VERY HIGH
POST EFFECT – ON
Enable PhysX and CUDA Hardware Acceleration: YES
Loop Play: NO
PhysX & Lighting Benchmark: YES
CUDA Accelerated Animation: NO
RESULTS:
-> MIN FPS – 30 (think the 5 of MicrO is a bug)
-> AFPS – 42
-> MAX FPS – 59

ps.: ArcaniA – Gothic 4 (with PhysX) is working without any lags
