This new version break physx functionality when a Radeon graphics card is present on system. Reverting the driver to previous version restores physx functionality.

i managed to keep that physx software version i had to: :
-remove nvidia drivers and physx system software reboot -install nvidia drivers , installs physx , reboot in safe mode
-apply the patch in safe mode reboot
-extend monitor and enable physx
such a pain in the ass that could be avoided by common sense by nvidia
however with this new version on fluidmark performance dropped 3000 points almost
btw zogrin nice website very useful

Uninstalling and re-applying the patch does indeed enable physx with new physx software, but gpu physx still don’t work as expected. In fluidmark the test is ok until ~50%, then gpu physx stop working and framerate drops to 4~10 fps (cpu’s processing physx).
3DMark Vantage CPU test 2 detect gpu physx and starts ok, but framerate is very low (~38 fps) whereas with gpu physx it must be in range of 130~150 fps.

Just confirmed, it’s not working, tried Mirror’s Edge and Batman, same issue, GPU Physx stops processing.
Please watch this video showing the issue

Catalyst 10.3b + 9.10.0222 + patched 196.34 is OK. Check this picture: http://www.kephost.com/images/q68e4g9l2ig4o60w7p01.png Fluidmark 60sec run is OK.
Catalyst 10.3b + 9.10.0222 + patched 197.13 is NOT OK. Check this picture: http://www.kephost.com/images/gx09cxxqbddfle4i9mbh.png Fluidmark slowdown at 40%. The main problem is imho, ATi 4670 went down to 2D clocks but nV GT220 is calculating physx!!! So thats a strange problem…

Yeah, 196.34 did the trick. Just tried Metro 2033 and now the game is running fine, no more CPU physx slowing things down =)
Strangely 195.62 nor 197.13 works, go figure…
Thanks, wwenigma !
