That's easy, they used forced AA from ATI CCC, that's why it cut so much fps for Radeon. It means they are ignoring the fact about vendor-id lock inside the game and those instructions from official Eidos forums... or they are not aware, which is doubtful.

I was relying on the fact AA did work for them with the ATI card alone. this game has no AA settings so it must have been forced in some way or another.
but you are right they didn't mention ATT specifically, cannot comment on this one.

According to this fudzilla article, they didn't even try ATT.

^ it is possible, however not in a hybrid (ATI+NV PhysX) setup, at least for this title, according to fudzilla.

It is possible enable native game AA with ATT for Batman, pretty easily.

on 2nd though, if PhysX is holding back cards performances, hybrid config might as well not be affected by AA at all.

anyway, since AA isn't working for hybrid config at all, the gtx285+9800gt still has better value in this case - cheaper, can do AA and similar performances to the overpriced hybrid config.

~5fps in favor of hd5870 vs "old" gtx285 is hardly a "beating" imo.

also, fudzilla: "After assigning a dedicated 9800GT card for PhysX, we couldn’t change antialiasing with our Radeon card so the tables feature same results in scenarios with and without antialiasing."

now if you look at AA fps penalty without physx - gtx285 loose 22% while 5870 takes a major 40% hit.
so if hybrid configuration allowed AA in this title, gtx285+9800gt would clearly take a lead.
but no AA at all is even more ridiculous.
so much for Fudzilla's provoking title.
