Unreal Engine 4 is now available for developers

with 3 comments

Epic Games has announced, that their highly anticipated Unreal Engine 4 is now available for developers, with a very friendly licensing model (which even includes full C++ source code) – only $19 per month, plus 5% of gross revenue from any commercial product.

Advanced physics system in Unreal Engine 4 is based on PhysX 3 (SDK 3.3 already or very soon, as far as we know), including out-of-the-box integration with APEX Clothing and APEX Destruction modules.

  1. Hi,
seems Unreal Engine next month (4.2) will include Apex 3.4 with FLEX?
it says: Apex 2014 will be in 4.2
can you gather more info on NV side?

    Not likely.
Afaik, PhysX 3.4 with FLEX is planned to be released in late 2014 – early 2015.
UE 4.1 already includes currently newest PhysX 3.3.1 / APEX 1.3.1 though

  3. Hello Zogrim
I wanted to ask you something, my group and I would like to use Flex on EU4 4.9.1, because we find it fantastic … but we wanted to know how we can do because we can not integrate it into the engine.
    Could you help us?
Thank you for any information you can give us
    Greetings
