Updated PhysX plug-ins2.89.00313 for 3ds Max and Maya – are now available for download.

Apart from PhysX SDK 3.2.3 and APEX 1.2.3 support, only several minor bug-fixes are included in this release.

2.89.00313 PhysX plug-in for 3ds Max: Release Notes

  • New Features
    • Updated PhysX 2.8.5 and 3.2.3
    • Updated APEX 1.2.3

    • Fix GPU Simulation Disabled bug when choosing HW mode.
    • Fix qs tangent space issue.

2.89.00705 Update Release Notes

  • New Features
    • Support 3ds Max 2014.
    • Exporting material names when exporting PhysX scene.
    • Support making dummies as constraint directly via toolbar or menu.

    Afaik, nothing is officially planned for Lightwave, but there are some third-party PhysX based tools in development – IBounce, for example

    – Type error: logical-and requires BooleanClass, got: undefined <<"
    when i select a UConstraint and go to the Multi-Object Editor.

    3dsmax 2012 x64, SP2, PU12, PhysX 2.89.

    Any ideas?

  7. I have a problem. After installing physx for max 2012 64bits, if I want to open any king of scene on a computer without phisix I get “MAXScript Callback script Exception –Unknown system exception” and the program crashes. It’s not a big problem for me but I can’t work on the same project with someone else if that person doesn’t have physx installed.

  8. Hi Radu Serban:

    I did some tests and I did not reproduce the crash with 3ds Max 2012 2013 and 2014. So, I suggest you to upgrade your 3ds Max to latest patch. Please Uninstall PhysX Plugin before upgrading. And you have to upgrade patches one by one from the version you have, not directly jump to the last one.
    Then you can install PhysX Plugin and try again. If the crash still happens, it may be some other reason. Can you send me any of your scene without PhysX? Maybe you have other plugins installed. I need to check it.
