There is two types of hardware PhysX in CM2:

- Additional laboratory for PPU was released with original game, it contains about 20 levels with extra rigid bodies, destructible crates, etc.
It's PPU exclusive, and won't work on GPU.

- Additional Fluid laboratory for GPU was revealed with GeForce Power Pack#2

Afaik, PhysX patch for steam version was also released.  

- There are numerous reports that GPU hardware acceleration isn't working with latest PhysX System Software
