Could you take a look into registry for the refering key? It should be a neighbor of the following ones:

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\nvlddmkm\NVAPI]
"physxGpuId"=hex:00,10,00,00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\AGEIA Technologies]
"PhysX BuildCL"=dword:00000000
"HwSelection"="GPU"

i got it working now, for some reason the control panel wasn't updated along with the driver update  Huh

Anyway, here are the magic numbers if s.o. is interested:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000] - value in curly brackets varies
"D3DOGL_73304097"=hex:64,40,53,34 - OFF
"D3DOGL_73304097"=hex:82,55,54,24 - ON
