I grabbed a Ageia PPU some time ago to have a play with. Though never got around to it until now. Am I correct in thinking the old Ageia PPU will accelerate games with CPU based PhysX 2.8.1 or older? I see there is a list of 19 PPU games on this website that the PPU natively supports. There is also a list of software games that are CPU PhysX. But no list of 2.8.1 and older CPU PhysX games that the Ageia PPU will accelerate. Does any have a list of such game?  Or know if Medal of Honor Airborne, Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Game of Thrones or Mass Effect 2 can use the PPU at all? Thank you

Well, the thing is:
While PPU was theoretically able to run many PhysX SDK based games in hardware, the difference between CPU and PPU execution of physics calculations was so insignificant (cause physics was oriented on console hardware), that Ageia was forced to invest in certain titles to have additional effects (like particles and cloth), where PPU presence was able to make a difference in performance and/or effects. Games like GRAW, Cellfactor, Infernal, Bet o Soldier, etc.

So, I would say - don't bother. PPU probably can accelarate MOH: Airborne, but most likely you will not notice any performance gains.
As for games list, search for games released in 2006 - 2009.
