Even though Cryostasis is programed to work with the Ageia PPU as well as GPUs. What's incredibly odd is that if you have a PPU present in your system, Cryostasis won't accept anything else for a dedicated PhysX card.

You can even have your PhysX settings to Geforce PhysX (Ageia PhysX disabled) with a secondary GPU selected as the PhysX card (or even main GPU calculating PhysX); and it will still only use the PPU.

Note: This is on a system with an Ageia PPU and a Geforce 9800 GT as a dedicated PhysX GPU, with modified PhysX software that gives PPU support with the latest PhysX drivers (9.10.0513).

Thoughts or suggestions, anyone?

What if you'll disable PPU through device manager ?

Wait, never mind... I fixed it.

With my PhysX modifications, I end copying many of the PhysX engines from the 8.09.04 driver.

I've found to my surprise that they've changed a lot between the 8.09.04 driver and the 9.10.0513 driver other than adding the 2.8.3 engine and dropping PPU support.

Cryostasis uses the 2.7.3 PhysX engine, so what I ended up doing is copying the newer v2.7.3 folder from C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Engine and then paste and replaced it in the modified C:\Program Files (x86)\AGEIA Technologies folder.

And, success! Cryostasis uses the GPU now.

Hey I'm actually having a similar problem but I don't have a ppu. Just a dedicated gpu for physx. All the physx is running on the first card and not the second. Any ideas as to why?
